(I'm doing this because Dani is doing this: wear a different t-shirt every day until I run out.)
This was a busy weekend, so I'm posting three of these at once!
Friday: Silver Sprocket Bicycle Club sells these shirts, drawn by Mitch Clem. Avi gave me this shirt last year when I had my Art Show / Birthday Party at the Future. I feel like its a total punk rock dad shirt.
Saturday: I saw Lemuria play at Bottom of the Hill for an Asian Man Records Showcase. I thought they were good, but Hard Girls totally stole the show in my opinion. I wanted to buy a Hard Girls shirt, but they were all out. I bought this Lemuria show instead, which was the last one. They had to peel it off of their display. Luckily, no duct tape marks.
Sunday: the Matsuri/Texas Toast DIY folks are great. I picked this up when I saw them play a show for the release of Endship. They were leaving for a tour and I wanted to give them all of the money I had in my wallet. I really like how crappy the print on this shirt is, especially since the design is made to look like its already scratched and distressed. it's funny to me. I'm guessing in another year all of the ink will wash out of this shirt, leaving a ghost image. Love it.
Here's a video of the last song we tracked for the new Destroy Nate Allen record today. It was a long, exhausting weekend full of fun music:
